Small theatre, great shows
Founded at the end of the 19th century, the theater housed the Giuseppe Verdi's School of Music until the early years of the following century. After the Second World War, it became a cinema, and remained so until the 1980s when it has been closed.
Today, thanks to extensive restoration work, Vicopisano has rediscovered a small jewel, a 100-seat theater adorned with 19th-century paintings that have been brought back to life thanks to renovation work that also brought to light perimeter walls dating back to the 14th century.
The theater hosts shows for adults and children, and is the venue for conferences, exhibitions and festival.
