For those who want a real full immersion weekend in the Middle Ages, nothing is better than attending the Medieval Festival in September and take part to the many activities, shows and animations dedicated to small knights and ladies.

The territory of Vicopisano and of the Monte Pisano offer so much wildlife to see, and it make you understand how important is respect the environment.
There are many initiatives that, during the year o in some specific periods, put kids and teenagers in contact with nature, making their weekends or their holidays even more amusing. Take a walk to discover Monte Pisano, its workshops, its paths following the desire to discover ancient rocks o some Dinosaur's remains, hiking and rock climbing, but also novels told in the forest and plays that will make you smile and think at the same time.

Stories of farmers and artisans
Here you can live interesting experiences to better understand the typical characteristic and activities of Vicopisano's territory, following paths leading to discover the culture of the olive tree and the production of ceramic: come here and find out the secrets of mills, farms and artisan laboratories, attending demonstrations and laboratory activities. Inside the mills of the area you will see the process of crushing the olives, and you will have the possibility to taste and buy directly the exquisite oil produced. The potters will be happy to show you how to work ceramics, from modeling to turning, to painting.

Library treasures
The Vicopisano Library - which is also the headquarters of the Tourist Office - has a catalogue of around 22,000 volumes of which around 10,000 are for children and over two thousand DVDs including films, cartoons and documentaries, in four rooms equipped with free Wi-Fi, all available for lending. In addition to the loan of books in Italian/English/French/German/Albanian/Romanian/Arabic, the loan of DVDs, e-readers and ebooks, it is possible to use a games area and participate in the many events and recreational and cultural activities organised throughout the year.
