VICOPISANO CASTELLO IN FIORE is an unmissable opportunity to enjoy the historic centre and its Brunelleschi castle in Vicopisano coloured by flowers and plants.
The route among flowers, shrubs, aromatic plants and botanical rarities also includes exhibitions of gardening equipment and the best for furnishing your green space. The event is also aimed at rediscovering a territory rich in attractions and its gastronomic specialities: visitors can walk along the streets of the village and stop in "piazzette del gusto" where they can taste local products. For the more "curious", there are guided tours of the village, the castle, the Palazzo Pretorio with its annexed prisons and cultural initiatives. For the more "fit", excursions to Monte Pisano in search of edible herbs. On Saturday evening, dinner in the piazza and live music.
Many companies in the floricultural sector, garden furniture, gardening equipment and machinery have registered for the event and will set up an exhibition area in the village during the first edition, in May 2012, of the market exhibition 'Vicopisano Castello in Fiore'.

In addition to the fair, which colours pizza Cavalca and the surrounding streets, there are many accompanying events that make taking part even more interesting: walks to discover Monte Pisano, guided tours to the main monuments in the area, special openings of private gardens, courses in gardening and phytocosmetics, food tasting, games and workshops for children, shows and concerts... and so much more!
